A Special Testimonial
I met Stacie over the phone the week I had to put my best Lab friend "Lucy" to sleep. I was inquiring about her watching our other pups and told her about my Lucy. I knew after her heartfelt sympathy, and long conversation regarding Lucy, that she would be the one to care for our puppies.
Stacie came to visit Cheyenne, Chief, and Bella. They barked with joy as they could already smell the treats and toys pouring out of her pockets! She played with them for an hour, getting to know each of their personalities. They just loved her!
Our first trip out of town, Stacie brought her two dogs, Cosmo and Monet over for a playdate with Cheyenne, Chief, and Bella. They ran and played, and swam in the pond. Stacie then took Bella (our 5 month old chihuahua) to her house via kennel and let her have a sleepover.
This was the BEST thing for Bella since she was very shy. She came home confident and more than able to hold her own against the "big dogs" Cheyenne and Chief, both Labs. Stacie called us while we were away, and kept us updated on how they were all doing. All of her reports were great and it was so comforting to know our pups were being spoiled and loved every minute! She left yummy treats and a new toy for each at the end of the visit.
Stacie again cared for the pups a month later. While driving home from our trip we were listening to the radio. The emergency system said Parker had two tornados on the ground. We called Stacie. This is how the conversation went:
"Hi Stacie, are you OK?"
"Well, funny you should ask! I've just secured my dogs in the basement, and I'm on my way to your house to get your dogs inside. There's tornados on the ground in your neighborhood."
"Stacie, stay home, be safe, they will find shelter, you shouldn't risk it"
"No, I'll call you when we are in the basement of your house. It's hailing and the wind is blowing so hard I can't see in front of me, but I can't leave them outside."
"Call us when you are inside.".........
"OK, I'm inside, but it's really bad. The sky is black, hail is falling, and the wind is blowing things all around."
We drove faster, imagining the damage a tornado could do. Stacie checked the house and then took all the dogs to the basement and stayed there until we got home. In short, she risked her life for my puppies.
I felt so helpless on the phone, but Stacie took care of everything, the pets, the house, everything. We drove thought the storm, pulled in and ran into the house. No damage. They were all in the basement playing happily. Once the storm passed, Stacie was safe to go back home.
I will never forget her determination to get to our puppies and get them to safety. It's a testament to her love of animals, and professionalism on the job.
I will always use Stacie to care for my little buddies. They are very important to us and we feel safe knowing Stacie will be here for them.
